Day 55

When I came in from mowing the lawn, the boys were playing go fish with their father. Since I was so busy today I didn't go outside and find anything to take a photo of so I will use one of the kids again.

Day 54

We took the boys up to the Adirondack mountains for a cruise on the Fulton chain of lakes. They had a nice time for the most part. So today's photo is from that outing.

Day 53

I had a wedding today so I wasn't home much. I forgot about my photo of the day until a few moments ago. Today's picture is of some flowers that were on our table at the reception. They were going to get thrown out so I snag a few.
The second photo is a rose that the groom and some of his friends made. They are made out of chewing tobacco lids and barbed wire. They really are quite pretty.

Day 52

I took the kids to a park today over by their school. They had a ball. It was only supposed to be 65 degrees today and cloudy. It ended up being a beautiful day. There is a pool at the park but since I listened to the weather forecast, I didn't bring their suits or towels. The lifeguards were nice and let us put our feet in at least.

Day 51

These are my neighbors roses. I saw them out tonight mowing the lawn.

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Day 50

I took all the boys to get their hair cut today so they would be ready for school. Here are Benjamin and Nicolas.

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Day 49

I know I already did a moon photo but I couldn't pass this one by. The color of the moon was a shade of orange and it looked really cool. I tried to get a photo of the moon viewed between the pine branches. Being that it is dark outside it was kind of hard to tell that was what I was trying to do. lol

Day 48

The blossom on my African violet

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Day 47

Today is another boring photo day. I wasn't home hardly at all and didn't have my camera with me. So this is of veggies that were given to me. We will be having them for dinner tomorrow.

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Day 46

We took the boys school shopping tonight with my mother in law.
She bought them an outfit, their back packs and lunch bags.
We also got them a few things. I don't have the photos on the
Computer yet, but will put them on tomorrow.

Day 45

I'm not sure of the name of this plant. I found it along an old stone fence and brought a few pieces to the house and planted them. I don't remember there being flowers on it in the past. I think this is the only one that has flowers on it now. I might go and get a few more in the spring. I can't get to them now since the weeds are so grown up where I got them from.

Thursday, August 20, 2009

Day 44

I finished a wash cloth that I was making. It was more a practice piece than anything. It turned out pretty well. I will choose a different yarn next time though. This one was a bit thin and hard for me to work with. But maybe with practice it would be fine. Who knows.....

Day 43

I went to visit my brother and sister in law today and to meet my newest nephew. He is such a little peanut and so beautiful! I almost didn't want to share. On the way to Syracuse we saw a field of sunflowers so we pulled over to take some photos. So that is also a photo of the day. I got so many good pics today that it was hard to have just one.

Tuesday, August 18, 2009

Day 42

We had a really bad thunderstorm a little while ago. The first photo is of the pines in the back yard with rain drops and the second one is of my not so smart chickens that didn't know enough to get out of the rain.

Monday, August 17, 2009

Day 41

Today's photo is of my new toy! My hubby surprised me with a new phone. I am just starting to figure it out, may take me a day or two.

Day 40

Today Jim and I went to the antique show in Bouckville. It has been going on for years now and is really quite large. We haven't gone in years, at least not together. My sister went with me a few years ago. Anyway, the weather was extremely hot and humid today and by the time we got home, I was sick. My head hurt (still does) really bad. Migraine bad. I feel like I am going to be sick. I was laying on the bed with a cold wet wash cloth on my forehead with the fan blowing on me. Nicolas came in carrying a bag of animal crackers and a class of ice water for me. He was so sweet taking care of me. Then Nicolas went and got me a few of his stuffed animals and Benjamin brought in his big bear thinking that they would make me feel better. Today's photo is of the animals that they brought in for me. I am so lucky to have such sweet boys.

Day 39

Today's photo is of my messy desk. I have several projects going at once and this is where they get set when I'm not working on them. I usually sit here while working on them so I can watch the boys. I know this isn't very exciting hopefully I'll get some that are much more exciting during this coming week.

Day 38

There is nothing better than drying laundry on the line. I love the fresh scent and its free! Gotta love the free aspect. It just reminds me of a simpler, more relaxed time. When people weren't in such a hurry.

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Day 37

Today was a lazy day. We read books and the boys watched a movie. The boys also made crowns, drew and made a "treasure box". I cut paper to fit around a general foods international coffee can and they drew pictures on it. Then I taped it to the can and they put their treasures in them.

The pictures of them today were while they were drawing a picture for santa. The movie that they wanted to see was a Christmas movie. It is getting them in the mood for Christmas. lol

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Day 36

This is what is for dinner when momma doesn't feel well. Not that anyone minds. I noticed while out feeding Maggie and the chickens that my flowers opened so I had to get a photo of them as well.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Day 35

This is the scarf that I am knitting. I'm not sure who will be getting it. I'm trying to make things for Christmas and I really liked this yarn and pattern. When I'm done with it, I hope I will know how will like it. Chelsea likes the yarn and wants a pair of mittens made from it. I'm thinking that they wouldn't be very warm since the yarn is very thin.

Monday, August 10, 2009

Day 34

Nicolas was helping his dad work in the garage. This is what I saw when he came to me.

Never fear, it was a 2 cent plastic toy from chuck-e-cheese. lol

Sunday, August 9, 2009

Day 33

This is not the photo I was hoping for today. I had something really cool planned but it fell through. I hope I will have it tomorrow so check back for something really cool! Today's photo is of green beans from my garden! woohoo

Saturday, August 8, 2009

Day 32

This plant is called Tansy. Its an herb that has been used for many different things. It can be harmful so I don't use it for anything. I don't even bring the flowers in the house. I used to have bunches of it when I lived in Norwich in my first home. My mom gave me several plants of it and it spread quite well. It is really pretty when there is a bunch of it together that is flowering. This photo the flowers aren't opened up all the way but I wanted to use it any way. Some other names for this plant are: Common Tansy, Bitter Buttons, Cow Bitter, Mugwort, or Golden Buttons.

Day 31

Wow I have done this blog for a month now. I am glad that I am doing this. It makes me keep a look out for interesting things to take a photo of.
Today's photo is what I found on the floor while cleaning. I knew which one of my boys did this even before asking them. When I asked Nicolas who could have done this, he put his head down and said that he did it because he loves me. How could I be angry with him. It is done with permanent marker so I'm not sure it will come off. Actually I don't think I care if it doesn't.

Thursday, August 6, 2009

Day 30

This is a spur of the moment photo. I forgot to take one earlier today. I was going to take a photo of the full moon tonight but Colin suggested that I take one of him. Then Chelsea wanted to get into it as well and poor Tyler was more or less dragged into it. He was a good sport about it. I also took a few of the moon. I haven't had a chance to check them out yet. It is getting late and I am very tired. So once I click on "publish post", I am off to bed!

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Day 29

Nothing fancy today that is for sure. My wind chime that is in my flower bed. I don't usually like too many wind chimes, they drive me nuts with their constant noise. But this one is so pretty and is rather quite. It is more like a twinkling noise. I really like it. The other photo is of a lady bug that is also in my flower bed. I love garden art.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Day 28

One from the water park today. The kids had so much fun. We are all exhausted now. I can't wait for bed time since they are so tired and really getting on my nerves with the whining and bickering.

Monday, August 3, 2009

Day 27

When the boys got back from swimming tonight, they wanted hot chocolate. While at the table drinking it Benjamin wanted to play a game. He got it out and was handing out pieces. He asked me if I wanted to play. I really didn't want to but the way he asked and the look on his face changed my mind. So here are the boys (hot chocolate faces and all) playing monopoly. Benjamin won the game by the way. I got beat by a 5 year old! That's just not right. lol

Day 26

I went out this evening to capture todays photo. I was out front taking a photo of what I had wanted to post but when I turned around I saw the fog. I thought it was pretty so that is todays photo. The field out behind our yard with the fog rolling in. Our neighbors back yard was completely covered but ours wasn't yet.

Day 25

I was mowing the lawn tonight and I saw a little hoppy toad on the lawn trying to get away from the mower. I missed him thankfully. Then when I went out to feed the chickens and my dog, I saw another one. The great thing is that I had my camera with me. Here it is. The little hoppy toad.
